Miembros de ITSIAS participaron en la 21th LACCEI International Multi-Conference for Engineering, Education and Technology, que este año tuvo como lema “Leadership in Education and Innovation in Engineering in the Framework of Global Transformations: Integration and Alliances for Integral Development” y se realizó en modalidad híbrida, presencial en Buenos Aires, Argentina y virtualmente, a través de la plataforma Agora Meetings, del 17-21 de 2023. 

La Dra. Yessica Sáez y el Dr. Edwin Collado, coordinadores ITSIAS, presentaron el trabajo titulado “Technology for monitoring tremor in the upper extremities of patients with Parkinson’s disease: a systematic review and a proposal» ”, junto a los estudiantes de quinto año de Ingeniería en Electrónica y telecomunicaciones Lissette peña, Roberto Nieto y Cristian Ureña. Los Doctores Collado y Sáez también presentaron el trabajo titulado «IoT-based system prototype for particulate matter monitoring in the city of Chitre, Panama» , en conjunto con los estudiantes Felisindo García, Jonathan González y Eladio Quintero, estudiantes de Ingeniería Eléctrica y Electrónica y el poster (Work in progress) titulado “Evaluation of the process for the optimal calculation of water requirements for crops in the Azuero region”, en conjunto con el estudiante Omar Sánchez, estudiante de la carrera Ingeniería Eléctrica y Electrónica.
